OUR VISION
The uniqueness of THE CHURCH is more than a Church and its experience. It is more than a place where humans come together, meet and worship their cause.
It’s more than a mere group of people who embrace their belief ... It’s about God in Christ Jesus sharing His divine presence, power, and purpose with us in the heavenly vision sent to men; which VISION we propagate.
OUR MISSION
When individuals are transformed from the earthly to the heavenly; affected by the standards given to us in the rich Word of God, through the salvation wrought and brought to all by the Lord Jesus Christ, through his death, burial and resurrection.
He himself declared it, died for it and ascended on high to confirm it, thus ...
Our Mission is to fulfill the same ... whosoever will let him come!!
Our Mission is to bring to the souls of men the attitude: “ITS ALL ABOUT JESUS”, and having this Mission, it is to enrich them in the ways of the Lord Jesus through the hope of the gospel He brought ...
Our Mission is to preach it and witness it to all men ...
Our Mission is Evangelism ... to help God save sinners. It is a calling to the loss and of Winning souls for the kingdom of God ...
Our Mission is The Holiness of God, that particular life emulated by His Church, as the Lord has established it. For then and then only will it be realized that the MISSION is accomplished.

Our History
"...and upon this Rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." St. Matt. 16:18
Christ the Rock Apostolic Church (CTRAC) had a unique and triumphant beginning. God placed the mantle and burden of the ministry upon District Elder Wilbert Reed Jr as he laid fast asleep late one night. It was through a tumultuous dream that God fashioned, in the mind of his humble servant, His vision for CTRAC. "I was flying in a winged vehicle darting against the powers of darkness and Satan, who was attempting to assail against me to overtake me. I continued to do so for some time until eventually I was awakened. I began to meditate on what I envisioned in order to receive the answer to what I had just witnessed. It was then that St. Matthew, chapter 16 and verse 18 came to me "...and upon this Rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Furthermore, I understood that it was the winged vehicle that I was in, like a CAR, which was the acronym for: Christ, Apostolic, Rock. My wife, Betty A. Reed, was in the living room praying. I called out to her and said,"I got it, I got it. " Upon her coming to me, I began to reiterate the interpretation of what I had just dreamed. As we were sharing thoughts about it, we then transposed the acronym of CAR to: CHRIST THE ROCK APOSTOLIC CHURCH, INC., and this is how It began....
Christ the Rock Apostolic Church was founded by District Elder Wilbert Reed Jr. on December 6, 1992. It was on this day that the first service commenced in a small rented building of about 586 sq.ft. CTRAC started out with seven members in the church. These founding members were: Lady/Evangelist Betty Reed, Sister Yolanda ( Reed ) Brown, Sister Kirstie ( Reed ) Stroble, Elder Allen Gilbert, Sister Sandra Gilbert, Evangelist Clareather ( Williams ) Gildersleeve and Pastor Wilbert Reed Jr. CTRAC currently location is 1102 W. Hemphill Rd in the city of Flint, Michigan.
Christ the Rock Apostolic Church is a sound church founded upon the biblical principles and teachings of Jesus handed down to his Apostles. Acts 2:38 outlines that only through repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and the reception of the Holy Ghost by evidence of speaking in tongues (as the spirit of God gives the utterance) can a man receive salvation. We embrace the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is the one and only God; the Eternal wonder and physical/visible manifestation of the Eternal Father. We hold to the holiness of God for the church, in accordance with maintaining a spiritual life, teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ .
There is but one way to God; one way to be saved, and that is through Jesus Christ, him alone.
Christ the Rock is ALIVE and we continue to show forth the power of Christ in the way we live. Our history is RICH. Our presence is KNOWN and our going forth is a proof of the mighty power of the God who works in US.
Doctrinal Statement
What we believe...
In accordance to the scripture and biblical teachings, the new birth consists of repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus and the reception of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, as the spirit gives the utterance. This is God's way of bringing all men to the place of spiritual birth and the hope of eternal life.
